Tate’s Fantasy Football Updated WR Rest-of-Season Rankings Week 16: Where Do Rashee Rice, Jaylen Waddle, and Deebo Samuel Land?

    Published on

As the fantasy playoffs continue, managers need to know who they can trust. Here are the latest rest-of-season WR rankings heading into Week 16.

Once we get to Week 16 of the NFL season, the rest-of-season rankings can look very different from the rankings we all had for specific big-name players at the WR position heading into the year.

For example, you may find great players like Ja’Marr Chase, Garrett Wilson, and Drake London way down the ranks because of their current situations, which won’t help you hoist your fantasy football championship trophy if they are set to underperform over the next few weeks.

Let’s take a look at which WRs are skyrocketing up my rest-of-season rankings to help you advance beyond Week 16 of your fantasy football playoffs.

Fantasy Football WR Risers After Week 15

    Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs

One name that has shot up the rest-of-season fantasy rankings on my board is Rice, who has emerged as not only the top receiver option in this offense but may be the best fantasy option out of this offense collectively, which includes Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Over the last four games, Rice has 32 receptions and has scored a receiving touchdown in three of his last four games, while Kelce has 21 receptions and zero scores.

During that same four-game stretch, Rice has seen a minimum of 9+ targets, 7+ receptions, and 64+ receiving yards. The Chiefs have made him a big focal point — if not, the focal point — of this passing attack.

Rice is a must-start the rest of the way in your fantasy lineup.

    Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

While the injury to Tyreek Hill may have been catastrophic for fantasy managers in Week 15, it undoubtedly benefitted Waddle in a major way.

Waddle torched an elite New York Jets secondary on Sunday with eight receptions for 142 yards and a score, which makes top-10 option — if not top-five — at the WR position if Hill misses any more time in the coming weeks.

If Hill is in the lineup for Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys, you can still count on Waddle to have a big game. The Cowboys run man coverage at one of the highest rates in the league, which is a coverage Waddle destroys at an elite level in 2023.

His 8+ targets in five straight games means you can count on Waddle in your fantasy playoffs.
