The TE position remains the weakest in fantasy football. That makes trading for tight ends exceedingly difficult. Unraveling all that we saw in Week 6 and translating it into Week 7 TE trade targets is where fantasy managers can differentiate themselves.
To help you get your head around it all, here are our thoughts on some tight ends to buy low or sell high entering Week 7.

Which TEs Should You Trade for in Fantasy Football?
Katz’s Other Week 7 Trade Targets: QB | WR | RB
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
It hasn’t been a disaster for Mark Andrews this season; he’s been fine. But Andrews just wasn’t drafted to be fine; he was drafted to be a top tight end.
Outside of his two-touchdown game in Week 4, Andrews hasn’t hit 16 fantasy points in a game.
Andrews’ time is coming. The Ravens will be better at scoring touchdowns. They will also be playing in higher-scoring games.
It’s difficult to trade for any tight end due to the lack of top options. But if you can pull off a trade for Andrews, now is the time.
Which TEs Should You Trade Away in Fantasy Football?
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
That’s back-to-back TE1 weeks for Kyle Pitts. He’s back! Every-week TE1, right? Right! Wrong!
MORE: Fantasy News Tracker
Pitts is still in an even split with Jonnu Smith. He played just one more snap and ran one more route this week. They had nearly identical stat lines, too.
Don’t mistake this for me saying Pitts is useless. He is still a viable weekly starter in fantasy. He’s just not the guy we all thought he would be. If anyone is willing to buy him as if he is, feel free to sell high.
Trending TE Fantasy Football Trades
Are you considering making a trade in your fantasy football league? Our PFN Trade Analyzer allows you to find the best trades to make in seconds! It also allows us to see trending searches, which we’ve compiled a few of the most popular below.
Should You Trade Kyle Pitts for Dallas Goedert?
Both Pitts and Dallas Goedert (and most TEs) have underperformed this season relative to expectations. Outside of his Week 5 smash game, Goedert hasn’t scored double-digit fantasy points this season. However, his targeting over the past two weeks is very encouraging, with a total of 17.
Pitts’ target share remains dismal. In a game where Desmond Ridder attempted 47 passes, Pitts only saw six of them. But the fantasy points the past two weeks have been excellent. That gives you an opportunity to sell this fake TE1 for a real TE1 in Goedert.
Neither player is a needle-mover, but I trust Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense far more than the Falcons. Goedert remains ahead of Pitts in my rest-of-season rankings. Make this move if you can.
Should You Trade Sam LaPorta for Mark Andrews?
What a time to be alive. Is a rookie tight end on the Lions really more valuable than an established star like Andrews? It’s a fun question to ask, but no. I would still rather have Andrews.
MORE: PFN Consensus Rankings
Sam LaPorta has undoubtedly impressed. He’s averaging 13.2 PPG and is the TE3 on the season. While that’s fantastic, Andrews is 1.1 PPG ahead of him as the TE2. LaPorta is very good; Andrews is a little bit better.
Both of these tight ends are on the very short list of guys you can reliably start every week. If you have one, congratulations, you can actually relax at the position. You don’t need to trade either. But if you can upgrade LaPorta to Andrews, why not do so?
