The Top TEs To Start in Week 5

    Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars

Analysis by Derek Tate | The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense as a whole may be off to a slow start, but the same can’t be said for tight end Evan Engram.

Engram is yet to finish outside of the top 10 at TE in PPR formats to start the season. This is due to his impressive volume — he has caught a minimum of five passes every game while seeing eight targets for three straight weeks.

Jacksonville’s WRs have been a bit more volatile this season, but Engram has been a consistent producer every week. He should continue to be a reliable starting option against the Buffalo Bills in Week 5.

    Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions

Analysis by Kyle Soppe | The rookie tight end has cleared 55 receiving yards in three straight games, and his 81.5% catch rate suggests a nice connection with Goff. I’ll be interested to see if his target earnings decline with Williams in the mix, but I believe the efficiency is here to stay. That locks him in as a top-10 tight end until otherwise noted.

LaPorta is currently on pace to gain 2.5 more receiving yards as a rookie than Kyle Pitts did during his introduction to the NFL in 2021.
