The TE position is always a tricky one for fantasy football managers, with so much flux from week to week. However, with most leagues requiring one, the best thing to do is try and stream the position unless, of course, you grabbed a slam-dunk option early. In our Week 4 TE rankings, we look at which players we expect to be start-worthy and who might be a dangerous option.

Intriguing TEs To Start in Week 4
Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
It has been a wonderful start to life in the NFL for Sam LaPorta. He broke a record as the first rookie tight end to catch five passes in each of his first three career games. His role in the offense appears to be continuing to expand, and he very well might be the second priority in the passing offense behind Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The efficiency is not great, but the usage appears to be there. The trouble is at the TE position; we have to ride out “good enough” until it no longer reaches that threshold.
Luke Musgrave, Green Bay Packers
This game could be the rookie TE show. Last week, Luke Musgrave saw eight targets, catching six for 49 yards. There were also opportunities for that line to look even better. Musgrave’s role has been growing, and young QBs love a tight end they can trust.

Musgrave’s volume could take a hit with Christian Watson set to return, but volume-wise, he is a low-end TE1 with the potential to overperform that value.
