Jones was the Jaguars’ second-leading receiver behind Calvin Ridley in the club’s Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. He played ahead of Christian Kirk in two-WR sets while posting five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.
If Jones is sidelined, Kirk figures to slide back into 12 personnel formations alongside Ridley.
Jones, 28, joined the Jaguars after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders. He managed an 82-823-5 line in his first campaign in Jacksonville.
Fantasy Fallout From Jones’ Injury
Jones was the clear-cut WR2 in this explosive Jaguars offense in the season opener, playing ahead of Kirk. The situation will require monitoring with time when they’re both healthy alongside Ridley.
But should Jones miss time, Kirk’s playing time is set to spike and thus return top-30 production at the position. Jacksonville will be favored in three of their next four games, which will put this offense in a position to succeed at a high level.
