Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers left in the second quarter of the team’s Week 7 Monday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Below are the latest updates on Flowers’ status.
What Happened to Zay Flowers in Week 7?
During the Ravens’ second drive, Flowers had a 19-yard rush but got rolled up on by Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr.
Flowers remained on the sideline, getting work on his ankle. He appeared ready to re-enter the game but did not get the opportunity before the drive ended on a nine-yard Mark Andrews touchdown.

Right ankle gets rolled on from the outside. Common mechanism for a high and/or medial ankle sprain. He’s moving around on the sidelines so may not be too serious but we’ll see. pic.twitter.com/gYxDg0mdTd

Flowers also had one catch for 11 yards at the time of his injury.
However, Flowers re-entered the game on Baltimore’s next drive. His status will be worth watching for any limitations, but it appears the Ravens dodged a bullet for the moment with their top receiver.
Fantasy Impact if Flowers Is Out
Flowers is far and away the clear No. 1 option in the Ravens’ passing game. Entering their Week 7 game, he led the Ravens in targets (48), receptions (33), and receiving yards (401). He also garnered 28% of Baltimore’s targets, the fifth-highest target share for any player through Week 6.
Flowers was the WR25 in PPR points per game through six weeks, which makes him more of a low-end WR2 despite that usage. However, given the quality of his targets and the Ravens offense, a healthy Flowers could be due for some positive regression.
Rashod Bateman has been the only other usable wide receiver on the Ravens roster in fantasy football this season. Bateman was second on the team with 273 receiving yards entering Week 7 while also averaging a robust 16.1 yards per reception. He added a 59-yarder in Monday’s game to set up the Ravens’ second touchdown drive.
If Flowers were to miss any time, the main beneficiaries would be tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. Andrews caught a touchdown for the second straight week and seems to be ramping up after an extremely slow start to the season. Likely has not hit 30 receiving yards since his 111-yard game in the season-opener at Kansas City, so would need an injury to Flowers to become fantasy-relevant again.
Ravens WR Depth Chart
Baltimore has played three or more wide receivers on just 32% of its snaps, the lowest rate of any offense entering Week 7. So, this is a thinner wide receiver depth chart than many other players in the NFL.
Entering the Tampa Bay game, Flowers had played 78% of the snaps, while Bateman had played 70%.
Beyond that, veteran Nelson Agholor was the only wide receiver to play more than 60 snaps this season, and he’s not usable from a fantasy perspective.
The Ravens have Tylan Wallace and Devontez Walker as the other wide receivers on the team’s active roster. Those two have combined for 67 snaps all season and are break-in-case-of-emergency options.
