The injuries are mounting for the Seattle Seahawks at running back. With Kenneth Walker III (oblique) already out, the Seahawks could barely afford another injury Thursday night.
But that was their reality in the fourth quarter of their game against the Dallas Cowboys when Zach Charbonnet headed to the blue medical tent after getting hurt on a failed fourth-down run.
Latest Zach Charbonnet Injury Update
After the game, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested the injury was not serious.
That certainly comes as a relief to Seahawks fans given the optics. Charbonnet went to the locker room for further evaluation. The Seahawks announced Charbonnet as doubtful to return with a knee injury, but he never did.
That left the Seahawks with two available running backs for the game’s final minutes: DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh.
It appears that #Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet may have been injured on this play.

Charbonnet accounted for all of the Seahawks’ running back carries at the time of his injury. He gained 60 yards on 19 carries and did have a touchdown. Combined, Dallas and McIntosh entered Thursday’s game with 28 rushing yards on eight carries in all of 2023.
Fantasy Implications of Charbonnet’s Injury
Charbonnet has shown fantasy managers what he can do when he gets the majority of the work here on Thursday Night Football against the Cowboys. Just as questions were beginning to arise over whether or not he could possibly take over this backfield, an injury is the last thing that NFL fans and fantasy managers alike want to see.

If Charbonnet is forced to miss extended time, Walker would instantly move back up the rankings to a top-five option, assuming that he’s healthy and ready to go in Week 14. Otherwise, Dallas is the next man up in this backfield, and he would instantly move to the top of the recommended waiver wire adds going into next week.
