The release date for WWE 2K25, the latest video game in the WWE 2K series, is just around the corner, and it’s getting hard to contain the excitement. This new wrestling game will be the first to allow you to step outside the ring and onto “The Island,” an interactive world created for wrestling gamers.
WWE 2K25 will feature a roster of over 300 wrestlers, including both the current and retired superstars. As we know, every installment of this video game has a showcase mode, and 2K25 is going to tell the story of The Bloodline and the most dominant family in wrestling history, the Samoan Dynasty.
From its release date to the new features, WWE has shared all the details we need to know about the game.
Release Date and Early Access
The Standard Edition of WWE 2K25 will be released on March 14, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam).
But if you don’t want to wait to play this video game, you can go with one of the special editions, which will allow you to play a week earlier. And obviously, these editions will cost you more than the standard one, which requires you to wait an extra week.
To gain early access to WWE 2K25, you need to purchase either the Deadman or Bloodline Edition of the game, which has already granted players access since midnight on March 7, 2025.
WWE 2K25 Roster
The WWE 2K25 roster is going to feature more superstars than any previous video games in this series. We will be seeing a variety of gameplays and over 300 wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and the retired legends too.
WWE 2K25 Game Features
Get ready to play once again the intergender matches, which were absent from the series for over 16 years. The last time WWE included intergender matches was the SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 video game.
Other new match types include the Bloodline Rules Match, inspired by WrestleMania 40, which is a no-DQ match that will allow up to six run-ins per match.
Another new match type is the Underground Match, in which there will be no ropes around the ring, and you can win only by submission or KO, with NPCs surrounding the ring.
WWE 2K25 Bloodline Showcase
This video game is going to celebrate the iconic wrestling family, The Bloodline, and the Samoan family. It will feature Roman Reigns, The Rock, Jacob Fatu, Yokozuna, and more.
The 2K Showcase also offers a “what if” fantasy element to the dream matches between members of, The Bloodline and other WWE stars. You’ll also see alternative winning scenarios in the showcase matches if you finish the match with a different winner than what happened in reality.
