Last November, Jade Cargill was attacked by an unidentified assailant in a backstage assault that kept her off television for more than three months.
Cargill finally made her return at Elimination Chamber, where she shocked fans by attacking Naomi. Her unexpected actions raised numerous questions, which were addressed the following Friday on SmackDown.
Bianca Belair Addresses the Jade Cargill-Naomi Matter on SmackDown
Cargill’s return during the Women’s Elimination Chamber match was one of the biggest surprises of the night, and her actions left fans even more stunned. Everyone expected Cargill to attack Liv Morgan, one of the main suspects behind the attack. However, she went after Naomi instead.
Bianca Belair, who was still locked in her pod, was shocked to see one of her friends attack the other. Since then, fans have speculated that Cargill assaulted Naomi because she was the initial attacker.
Belair would go on to win the Elimination Chamber and earned her title shot at WrestleMania 41. However, as she admitted on the latest episode of SmackDown, she couldn’t fully enjoy her victory due to the shocking events that had unfolded earlier.
Belair didn’t want to believe that Naomi could do such a thing, so she confronted her friend on SmackDown to clear her doubts. She called Naomi to the ring and directly asked if she was the one who attacked Cargill.
Naomi initially tried to avoid answering, focusing instead on their tag team success. But after Belair pressed her, Naomi had no choice but to admit she was the one who attacked Cargill, claiming that she did it for her and their team.
The moment left both women in tears. Belair exited the ring, telling Naomi she was done with her. Still sobbing, Naomi lashed out, calling Belair an “ungrateful b****.”
Before Belair could respond, Cargill made a dramatic appearance and destroyed Naomi.

Belair in a Complex Situation
As Belair prepares to face Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41, her focus is clouded by the tension between her two friends. She will also need to deal with Rhea Ripley, who will likely seek payback after Belair’s involvement on Raw that cost “Mami” the title.
While Belair’s championship match with Sky is set, it’s likely we’ll also see Cargill vs. Naomi down the line, potentially even at WrestleMania. It’ll be interesting to see what role Belair plays in their rivalry.
