Kevin Nash Rejects Comparisons Between John Cena and Hulk Hogan’s Heel Turns
Speaking on his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash shared his thoughts on the comparisons between Cena’s turn and Hogan’s. While he praised WWE for creating a major moment, he argued that Cena’s turn wasn’t as impactful as it could have been because fans already know this is his final year in the ring.
“John’s great. But John’s too precise on what he does,” Nash said. “When he showed up with the no-tan, I was like, okay. Not just the no-tan but powder. It was a giveaway to me that something was up.
“People are comparing it to Hogan’s turn, and I just disagree. There wasn’t stab-you heat in the building in Toronto. They were more p***** off about the tariffs.”
Nash Thinks Cena Should Retire as a Heel
Cena’s farewell tour will wrap up by the end of the year, and fans are wondering whether WWE’s biggest babyface will return to his heroic persona before leaving the ring for good. Addressing this, Nash shared his thoughts.
“Why does he have to come back? He was the man for 10 years. It’s going to feel very convoluted to make that quick return. I think John is so active in other things, I just don’t think at this point, in 2025, if John Cena leaves a heel, it will tarnish anything.”
