Cody Rhodes’ Mom Goes on Explosive X-Rated Rant Against John Cena

John Cena’s heel turn on March 1 at Elimination Chamber was one of the most shocking moments in WWE history. Cena, The Rock, and Travis Scott stunned fans with their brutal attack on the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, and it’s one of the most talked-about moments in recent times.

Some fans loved it, while others criticized the actions of these three men. Rhodes’ mother definitely falls into the second category and recently shared her feelings about the event.

Cody Rhodes’ Mother Reacts to John Cena’s Heel Turn

The wrestling world is buzzing about Cena’s shocking turn, but Rhodes’ mother, Michelle Runnels, is not. Like many fans, she was stunned by what she saw at the WWE premium live event in Toronto.

Speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Runnels shared her thoughts on the incident. When she was asked how she felt about what happened to her son, she admitted she never saw it coming.

“I was just shocked. Completely shocked. I would have never, never thought that was going to happen,” she said.

“No, not really,” Runnels answered when asked if Cena was a family friend. “He was a friend of Cody’s, and of course, Dusty knew him, but I would not call him a family friend, no.”

Later, Apter asked what she would say to the 16-time champion who assaulted her son. Still upset about what happened in Toronto, Runnels didn’t hold back:

“I would say, John, you should be ashamed of yourself. You know, beautiful career. Everybody loved you, and now you’re just an a******.”

    Cody Rhodes on Miz TV

Rhodes appeared on Miz TV on the latest episode of SmackDown. But before The Miz could start his show, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair came brawling out from backstage. Security tried to separate them but struggled. Stratton ended the fight with a moonsault before declaring herself the “new queen” of the town.

Shortly after, Rhodes made his entrance, posing on the turnbuckle. The Miz, whose show had already been disrupted by “Tiffy Time,” didn’t want to waste any more time. He shouted to stop the music and tried to start his interview with his “hard-hitting questions.”

Rhodes, however, had other plans. After delivering a Cross Rhodes to the host, he made it clear he had only one person he wanted to talk to.

“I don’t wanna talk to The Miz. I don’t wanna talk to anybody unless his name is John Cena. And if you can find it worth your time to join this John on the Road to WrestleMania next Monday, just know I’ll be there too,” Rhodes said.

Rhodes will get his chance for payback against Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 41. But he’ll need an ally in this fight. In the coming weeks, we’ll find out which WWE superstars will step into this explosive storyline.
