Chicago Bears Super Fan and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins Excited for Team Before the 2024 NFL Draft

    Published on

As a champion inside of the ring, WWE superstar Seth Rollins is giving advice to his Chicago Bears in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

As the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins knows what it takes to become a champion.

Not only is Rollins a champion, but he’s also an avid Chicago Bears fan. The Bears are trying to become champions as well, and the team has done a good job setting up its future in the last 12 months. Chicago has a chance to really get things rolling at the 2024 NFL Draft, as they have both the No. 1 and No. 9 picks.

Playing the role of general manager, Rollins has some advice for the Bears when it comes to pick 9.

Seth Rollins Says Bears Need To Look for Best Player Available

The expectation is that the Bears will draft a quarterback at No. 1 following their trade of Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, at the No. 9 spot, the team can go in many different ways, but Rollins thinks it needs to be about the best player.

“The great thing about this ninth pick is that I feel we are such a complete team; we are only missing a couple little pieces,” Rollins said on Good Morning Football. “There is no glaring, obvious need, so my opinion, when you get to 9, you take the best available. Five through 10, it could go any different way.”

With Chicago taking a quarterback first overall, the next step is making sure they are put in a position to succeed. The Bears have already done that by pairing Keenan Allen with DJ Moore to create one of the better receiving duos in the league.

Rollins believes that if a receiver drops to that spot, that’s the move. Yet, there are other options as well.

“If you get to nine and (Malik) Nabers is still there for some reason or (Rome) Odunze or something has happened to Marvin Harrison Jr., I think you got to take one of those three guys,” Rollins said.

“You can always use a little love on the offensive line. The Bears could use another edge opposite of Montez Sweat, there are options, and that is great to have at No. 9.”

Whoever the Bears decide to draft at pick 9, the expectations are high after finishing the 2023 season on a positive note. Chicago went 4-2 down the stretch, winning games against the Detroit Lions and the Atlanta Falcons.

While Rollins is extremely excited about the draft potential, he isn’t quite ready to guarantee a playoff spot or anything like that.

“The team is ready to go,” Rollins said. “The defense came on strong in the second half of the season last year. They played really well and anchored a lot of those wins. We play in a tough division. I am hoping we make the playoffs, and I think we are going to put together a competitive team. I am excited to see what the offense looks like for the first time in a long time.”
