The Week 10 waiver wire isn’t overly exciting at the wide receiver position. It mostly consists of guys who just had big weeks that we’re chasing. But there are two rookies fantasy football managers might want to add, though. Here are a couple of WR targets on the wire this week.
Top WR Waiver Wire Targets in Week 10
More Waiver Wire Targets: RBs | TEs | QBs
Tank Dell, Houston Texans (47% Rostered)
I was stunned to see Tank Dell eligible for the waiver wire column by being rostered in fewer than 50% of leagues. Dell commanded 11 targets, catching six of them for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Dell is the real deal. Tied to C.J. Stroud, the arrow is firmly pointed up on him. He now has three games with over 20 fantasy points as a rookie. If he’s out there in your league, pick him up.
FAAB Recommendation: +50%
Demario Douglas, New England Patriots (35% Rostered)
The new Patriots WR1 is clearly Demario Douglas. He only managed five receptions for 55 yards, but his seven targets tied for a team-high. There were also a couple of near misses. Douglas was close to a big game.
Going forward, Mac Jones is always going to limit Douglas’ upside. Nevertheless, he’s the WR1 for an NFL team, and he seems to be pretty good at football. I would pick him up and see what happens.
FAAB Recommendation: 5-10%
Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears (14% Rostered)
For the first time since Week 1, Darnell Mooney cracked double-digit fantasy points. He caught five of six targets for 82 yards.
I’m not interested in Mooney at all. Every once in a while, he posts a usable fantasy week. Predicting it is an exercise in futility and expecting Tyson Bagent or Justin Fields to support a receiver beyond DJ Moore is unrealistic. There’s no need to add Mooney.
FAAB Recommendation: N/A
Noah Brown, Houston Texans (2% Rostered)
It was quite an anomalous game for the Texans. C.J. Stroud had the game of his young career, throwing it up 42 times and completing 30 passes for 470 yards and five touchdowns. Six of his Stroud’s passes went in Noah Brown’s direction. The former Cowboy caught all six of them for 153 yards and a touchdown.
Brown is still the WR3 behind Nico Collins and Tank Dell. I find it hard to believe Brown will ever have a game like this again or even be startable. He is not a recommended pickup.
FAAB Recommendation: N/A
Which WRs Should You Roster in Fantasy Football?
Should You Roster Tank Dell or Josh Downs?
I was really excited about Josh Downs’ emergence into an every-week fantasy starter. Unfortunately, things came to a screeching halt last week when he aggravated his knee injury.
Downs understandably pushed through the injury to play, but it’s clear that he wasn’t right. Now, he may be looking at a multi-week absence.

While Downs was nursing an injury, Tank Dell was posting his second career 100-yard game. Dell has now smashed three times while being unstartable the other four times. But you know what? I’ll take that from a waiver wire pickup.
If Downs were healthy, I would side with Downs. He has proven to be the more trustworthy weekly option. But given Downs’ health concerns and Dell’s superior quarterback play, I prefer Dell for the rest of the season.
Should You Roster Demario Douglas or Romeo Doubs?
It is quite a coincidence that we are discussing these two players here. Allow me to present you with a short anecdote about one of my fantasy teams that you definitely don’t care about.
On Sunday morning, when I was finalizing my lineups, I was looking over one roster dealing with Calvin Ridley, Courtland Sutton, and Sam LaPorta on bye, plus Drake London out due to injury. I had both Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs in my lineup.
After a few minutes of thought, I came to the conclusion that starting two Packers was a terrible idea. I looked to the waiver wire and noticed a certain Patriots rookie just sitting there. So, I dropped Romeo Doubs and picked up Demario Douglas.
Doubs caught all of three targets for 36 yards, which was his highest yardage total since Week 4 and his third-highest on the season. That’s how things are going in Green Bay.
Douglas hasn’t scored yet this season, but he’s seen seven targets in back-to-back games and has established himself as the clear WR1 for the Patriots. I have no intention of trying to get Doubs back, and certainly not at Douglas’ expense.
