The Underdog WNBA X account posted the early All-Star Game fan voting, which revealed Clark is currently fifth in fan voting behind Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers, Fever teammate Aliyah Boston, and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart.
Many Clark fans were stunned and angered by Clark’s current placement in fan voting. Clark fan Caitisland said on X, “#5 is so embarrassing not even the fever player with the most votes lmfao y’all are going to hell.”

Clark currently leads the WNBA in assists per game and is also ranked in the top five in points per game.
Clark Report said, “Caitlin Clark is currently 5th in All-Star voting.” They included a raised eyebrow emoji to express their disbelief.

The Fever currently have three players ranked in the top 10 in fan voting, as top scoring guard Kelsey Mitchell joins Boston and Clark.

While Boston is one of the WNBA’s elite post players and is also popular, she’s rarely mentioned as the face of the league in discussions like Clark, nor is she discussed as a women’s sports icon like Clark, which makes the current fan voting shocking to many.
WNBA analyst Jason Whitlock weighed in on the controversy, saying, “The Caitlin Cult is busy making content blaming everyone but themselves and Caitlin Clark for this unprecedented fall in popularity. Caitlin has behaved as stereotypical WNBA player, and her content cult turned her into a victim rather than victor. Sad.”

Whitlock was one of Clark’s most vocal supporters, but recently admitted a drop in fandom, as he’s called out Clark’s poor body language over the last few weeks. Whitlock may feel vindicated by the current fan voting.
