‘Forever To Go’ – NY Liberty Star Sabrina Ionescu Sends a Touching Message to Husband Hroniss Grasu on Wedding Anniversary

Sabrina Ionescu’s life has been a joyful ride with her longtime boyfriend and now husband, Hroniss Grasu. The NFL offensive lineman proposed to the New York Liberty star in 2023.

The couple then tied the knot in 2024. The point guard is celebrating her first anniversary with a throwback twist to their big day last year.

The couple has managed to stay hush regarding their love story as well. However, Ionescu’s joy on her first wedding anniversary can be deducted because she took to Instagram to post never-seen-before pictures from her wedding last March.

“1 year down, forever to go. Loving every step of life with you. 3.10.24,” she captioned her post.

Grasu did not forget to post pictures for his fans, either. The NFL player took to Instagram to post pictures by simply captioning the date of his marriage to the three-time WNBA All-Star point guard.

The WNBA season is ready to kickstart soon, and the NY Liberty is scheduled for an exhibition preseason game against the Toyota Antelopes of the Women’s Japan Basketball League on May 12. Ionescu is already excited about the matchup, even though it is over a month away.

She is elated to be returning to her alma mater. The former Oregon Ducks player thrived on the Matthew Knight Arena court for four years, and she is ready to give her fans a dose of nostalgia.

“I can’t wait to get back on the court in Eugene with the New York Liberty at Matthew Knight Arena,” she said. “I’ve got some great things in store throughout the weekend for my teammates: past and present, Oregon women’s basketball fans, the Eugene community, and the SI20 Foundation. Sco Ducks Forever!”

Ionescu won’t be the only Liberty player making her comeback to the famed arena. She will be joined by the NY Liberty forward Nyara Sabally. While Ionescu graduated from Oregon in 2020, Sabally left her college in 2022.
