Indiana Fever teammates Aaliyah Boston and Lexi Hull were on the opposite side of the court during the Unrivaled 3×3 title game as Rose BC beat Vinyl 62-54.
While Boston made a bigger contribution to Vinyl than Hull did for the Rose, it was the latter who walked out with $50,000 in prize money. Despite the loss, Boston couldn’t help but make a sweet request to her Fever teammate.

Rose was short on their two premier players, Angel Reese and Kahleah Copper, in the finals, while Boston was the pre-game favorite to win the inaugural Unrivaled Championship. However, what followed was a dominant performance from Rose as Brittney Sykes, Azurá Stevens, and Chelsea Gray combined for 58 points, while Hull played 4 scoreless minutes.
Boston couldn’t make a significant mark on Vinyl’s performance, scoring 10 points with 4 rebounds in 9 minutes of playtime. While Hull went on to celebrate with her teammates, Boston requested she take her out to dinner after her hefty paycheck.

After Rose and Hull won the title, the Indiana Fever’s official Instagram handle congratulated her but made no mention of Boston. But Clark didn’t forget her teammate and issued an apology in the comment section.
“[Aliyah Boston] you didn’t deserve this. I’m sorry,” Clark wrote.

Clark and Boston were among the better duos on the Fever team last season as they led Indiana to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The pair formed a seamless connection on the court with Indiana and produced several memorable nights, including their victory against the Atlanta Dream when Clark tallied 26 points and 12 assists, while Boston achieved a career-best 30 points and 13 rebounds.
The pair were also named to the All-Star game and share a mutual admiration for each other on and off the court. The same can be said about their relationship with Hull, who also played a significant role for Fever in the latter part of last year’s season and earned a starting spot toward the end of it. The trio will now convene for training camp in late April.
