MSN Slideshow Winners and Losers From the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 20, 2025 | 9:00 AM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 8 There's no longer any debate over Jayden Daniels' status as the greatest rookie QB in NFL history. He's one win away from being the first rookie to ever take his team to the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Dan Quinn continues to be one of the best in-game coaches in the NFL, sticking to his guns and going for it on 4th and short. His team has now won two games because of his excellent decision making. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will face off for the fourth time in the postseason. The final four teams feature four of the six best QBs in the NFL. Of the past 30 or so Super Bowl winners, approximately five of them, depending on how you define the term, were not among the best in the league at the time they won. Elite QB play wins championships. So much star power in one image. Taylor Swift wasn't really a football fan before she began dating Travis Kelce. She probably doesn't understand how difficult it is to win all of the time. The next playoff game she sees Travis Kelce lose will be the first. Josh Allen recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld. Obviously lacking the star power of Taylor Swift, Steinfeld is plenty famous and has seen plenty of success from her future husband. Football is a team game and you can't really ever put a game on one player...but in this case, we might make an exception. Mark Andrews had an early drop that derailed a promising drive. He committed a fumble on a play no one can figure out why he decided to run backwards. Then, he dropped a game tying two point conversion pass that couldn't have been easier. It was a rough day for one of the Ravens all time greats. NFL officials didn't do anything to help shed the narrative that they want to help the Chiefs win. Patrick Mahomes got two roughing calls that looked to be completely bogus. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson got tackled 10 yards out of bounds and there was nothing. Plus, there's an epidemic among officials repeatedly spotting the ball just short of the line to gain. The Detroit Lions were the best team in the NFL all season and it wasn't really close. For a franchise that hasn't been a true contender in such a long time to go one and done in a 15-win season is absolutely crushing. It's hard to stay at the top in the NFL. The Lions may have let their best chance at a Super Bowl slip away.
