Will the Panthers Make a Change on Offense? NFL Insider Reveals Frustrations Around Team

To say the 1-8 Carolina Panthers have struggled this season would be an understatement. Despite having the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the way things are going now, they may be around that situation once again.

Many around the fan base and the team are frustrated by the on-field product, and despite the feeling of trusting the process, improvement is needed or action may be taken. That frustration level goes straight to the top, as Panthers owner David Tepper is one of the many who are displeased with what he is seeing on Sundays.

Frustrations With Carolina Panthers Starts at the Top

According to The Athletic NFL insider Dianna Russini, Tepper is frustrated by the Panthers’ offense and its lack of production. Some around the league are reportedly calling the Panthers’ offense “boring, predictable” and “lifeless.”

The Panthers moved up to the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to take Bryce Young out of Alabama with the hopes that he would bring stability and playmaking to their offense for years to come. Thus far through 10 weeks, neither Young nor the offensive group as a whole has inspired too much confidence.

    MORE: Carolina Panthers Depth Chart

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will the Panthers’ offense. But through 10 weeks, what has been put on the field hasn’t been what many had hoped to see at this juncture. With the owner now voicing displeasure, a change could be on the horizon.

    Growing Pains for Bryce Young

When it comes to the ebbs and flows of the quarterback position, none is felt more than during a rookie year. Such is the case for Young as he navigates NFL life and the first real bit of turmoil he has felt during his playing career. Young has been a winner everywhere he has gone, and the lumps he is taking during his rookie year are all new to him.

While some of it is trial by fire as they threw him in right away, many believe the talent around Young is not sufficient enough to expect a high level of play. The combination of the two elements has led to rough sledding in Carolina. Things may change, but it just may not be fast enough for Panthers decision-makers.
