Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck made a full U-turn by withdrawing from the 2025 NFL Draft and committing to the Miami Hurricanes. The bold move comes after Beck’s draft stock took a hit this season, following a tough year marred by a UCL injury and inconsistent performances for the Bulldogs.
College Football QB Carson Beck Will Cash Bigger Check Than NFL’s Will Levis
Beck will cash in big through NIL deals in 2025, playing for the Miami Hurricanes. He will be earning a reported $4 million for his final college season — a figure that surpasses the base salary of Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis, who made $950,000 this season.
The Fox affiliate in Miami reports that UM's contract with Carson Beck is a one year, $4 M deal. As perspective, former second round pick Will Levis made $950,000 base as Tennessee Titans starting QB this season.

The Hurricanes fans are already buzzing about Beck’s arrival in Coral Gables. The 23-year-old was the top-ranked transfer in this year’s portal. He is joining a program that is willing to pay a premium to secure elite talent.
Miami has a reputation for splurging on quarterbacks, as evidenced by Heisman finalist Cam Ward’s multimillion-dollar deal last season. The Florida native will be among the highest earners in college football. Given Beck’s charisma, endorsements will likely follow, skyrocketing his earnings. As per On3, he already has an NIL valuation of $4.4 million.
Beck’s journey to Miami is as much about redemption as opportunity. He had a promising junior year, but his senior campaign at Georgia saw him throw 12 interceptions in a midseason slump, derailing his NFL Draft aspirations. He even suffered a season-ending UCL injury and couldn’t save Georgia’s 2024 campaign in their 23-10 Sugar Bowl loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Beck’s numbers over two years tell a contrasting story. In 2023, he registered 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns while throwing 12 interceptions. Compared to 2024, Beck had 3,485 yards to his name, an 11.5% hit. His touchdowns, however, increased by four — 28 TDs in 2024.
The move to Miami also offers Beck the chance to recover fully from his injury while improving his draft stock for 2026. He will debut for the Hurricanes on August 30 in a clash against Notre Dame at Hard Rock Stadium.
Off the field, the move helps Beck’s relationship with Hurricanes basketball star Hanna Cavinder, who already resides in Miami. Beck’s girlfriend is a TikTok sensation with a NIL valuation of $883,000.
Regardless of the off-field motivations, the Hurricanes are banking on Beck to deliver on the field and take their football program to another level.
