Will Howard’s Girlfriend Elated About QB’s Game-Winning Pass

Before the Ohio State championship celebration at the team’s home stadium in Columbus on Jan. 26, Skoglund filmed a replay of Howard’s late-game 56-yard pass to Jeremiah Smith on third-and-11, which was playing on the jumbotron.

She posted the video on her Instagram story the same day, captioning it “legendary!!!!!”

Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day also shared the same sentiment of Howard being the team’s finest as he said on Jan. 23:

“When Will’s feet are right, he is as good as anybody I’ve been around. His accuracy, his ability to see the way he commands the team, the work he puts in. I think the thing that nobody is probably going to understand how much credit he deserves, is how much he can take on.

“I don’t think there was — to say 90 percent of the calls that went in the other day had two or three plays into it, and he’s calling a play or two in the huddle and then checking the play at the line of scrimmage, that’s NFL material right there.”

According to Pro Football Network’s latest 7-Round Mock Draft by Matthew Cannata, Howard is projected to be the No. 100 overall pick by the LA Rams.

Cannata’s analysis of the QB reads: “His high football IQ and ability to make ‘NFL throws’ set him apart. While he’s not yet a talent-elevator, which may limit his immediate NFL prospects, he has the tools to transition smoothly to the pros. With grit and strong leadership, Howard’s path to becoming an NFL starter will depend on how he performs when it matters most.”

Howard accumulated 4,010 yards on 309 passes, with a 73.1% completion rate and 35 touchdowns.
