Justin Fields has become heavily re-scrutinized as an NFL quarterback. Now, it’s reached the point where there are new reports about his future with the Chicago Bears.
Are the Chicago Bears All in on Justin Fields?
Per NFL Insider Jay Glazer of Fox NFL Sunday, he’s gathered intel that the Bears have become undecided on what to do with Fields.
“Right now, the jury’s still out whether he’s their quarterback of the future,” Glazer began. “And he had a little bit of a bumpy ride this week with his coaches.”
Fields, as Bears and NFL fans are well aware, garnered the wrong kind of attention when he mentioned that coaching could be a reason for what has been described as “robotic” play. He has struggled with showing the form that made him a top-15 NFL Draft pick.
Fields ended up reiterating his words during a locker-room session with the Chicago media on Wednesday.
Are the Bears Rolling Out a Plan?
But how are the Bears planning to address this matter from what Glazer learned?
“What they’re going to do for him this week, however, is that they’re going to have a lot more designed runs for him,” Glazer said.
That means more rollout plays will likely be imminent for Fields when Chicago faces the Kansas City Chiefs for Week 3 on Sunday.
The Bears remain undecided on committing to Justin Fields as their long-term QB, per @JayGlazer.

Glazer also mentioned how if Fields doesn’t see his first and second read, the Bears still want him to throw the ball.

While Chicago has appeared to roll out a new plan for Fields, again, Glazer believes the jury is still out on the former Ohio State standout.
“Fields still has a ways to go to convince the Chicago Bears that he’s their quarterback of the future,” Glazer said.

Others, however, remain optimistic.
There's a whole lot wrong with Bears at the moment, not just Fields.
He'll get better as we move through the season

Another, however, believes that the Bears are equally the blame for Fields’ slow start in the NFL.
Bears dont know how to develop a QB and Fields isn’t a good QB to begin with
