    Washinton Commanders WR Curtis Samuel was ejected from the game against the New York Giants. What happened to lead to his ejection?

    In back-to-back weeks, a Washington Commanders player has been ejected. This time, wide receiver Curtis Samuel was ejected as a post-play brawl with the New York Giants broke out on the sidelines after Commanders QB Sam Howell was hit late out of bounds late in the second quarter.

    Curtis Samuel Ejected After Scrum on Sideline

    Giants safety Xavier McKinney hit Howell late on a touchdown run in the second quarter, and a brawl broke out. Players from both teams got involved, with Samuel and Giants cornerback Cor’Dale Flott playing key roles.

    Both players could be seen throwing punches, and both of their helmets came off during the scrum. After things settled down, both Samuel and Flott were ejected from the game.

    Howell went to the medical tent on the sidelines to be checked after the incident, but he remains in the game.

    In the absence of Samuel, Dyami Brown and Byron Pringle will see increased roles throughout the remainder of the game.

    The Commanders are trailing 14-9 against the Giants at the end of the second quarter.
