Super Bowl 58 is here and a champion will be crowned. Whether it’s the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs, someone is going home with the Lombardi Trophy.
The Super Bowl will be played in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. As one of the newest venues in the NFL, who owns the stadium?
What’s To Know About Allegiant Stadium?
Allegiant Stadium is located in Paradise, Nev., southwest of Las Vegas. It was opened in 2020 and is the home field of the Las Vegas Raiders as well as the University of Nevada, Las Vegas college football team.
The stadium is located on 62 acres of land and cost $1.9 billion to build. The price tag makes it the second-most expensive stadium in the world. The Las Vegas Stadium Authority is responsible for the ownership and oversight of the stadium.
This year's Super Bowl host Allegiant Stadium cost $2 billion and took three years to build.

The project was completed by Manica Architecture, an architecture firm that Raiders owner Mark Davis retained from a previous job. The company had previously designed the proposed Carson Stadium near Los Angeles. Allegiant Stadium retained much of the look from Carson Stadium because of Davis’ love for the design.
In the building process, Las Vegas taxpayers shouldered $750 million of the construction costs, with construction beginning Nov. 13, 2017. The stadium was awarded its certificate of occupancy on July 31, 2020.

The stadium holds a capacity of 65,000 for NFL games that is expandable to 71,835. Soccer games, which are also played in Allegiant Stadium, hold 61,000 fans. The field features Bermuda grass for the Raiders and artificial turf for UNLV.
The stadium is a 10-story domed stadium featuring an ETFE roof with a silver and black exterior containing light-up strips. The outside of the stadium features a 275-foot media mesh video screen that faces Interstate 15.
Super Bowl 58 taking place in Allegiant Stadium marks the first Super Bowl ever played in the state of Nevada. Additionally, it will be the third straight year that the Super Bowl has been played in the western United States, following Inglewood, Calif., and Glendale, Ariz.
The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS as well as streamed on Paramount+. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be on the call with Tracy Wolfson as the sideline reporter. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
