It is safe to say that some people may be over the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift storyline, but it is entirely different when one of those people seems to be deeply connected to the situation. Such is the case with Pia Malihi.
Malihi is the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end’s publicist, and she is making some unwanted waves right now with one of her latest Instagram posts.
Travis Kelce’s Publicist Sparks Controversy After Instagram Post
Malihi is feeling the wrath of the internet right now for a recent share to her Instagram story. The PR professional shared a post for her birthday that a friend had wished her, and on the story were some images, one of which included Kelce’s new girlfriend, Swift.
Where the issue lies is the fact that the pop star’s face was covered by a clown emoji. Fans online, especially Swifties, did not like the gesture and let her know about it.
You know you’re a good PR person when you put a clown emoji on the face of the girl your client is supposedly dating….#taylorswift #traviskelce #1989TaylorsVersion pic.twitter.com/vbydQkMKdt

Just why she would do that is unknown at this time, but the one thing that is clear is that it is not a good look in any way for the PR professional. It brings unnecessary further attention to a situation that is already one of the most talked about stories of the year, and it serves no positive purpose for Kelce.
What this means for her job is unknown, but one would think Kelce has some questions and possibly some decisions to make after this.
Of course, because we are in the age of social media and there is no one more vocal on X than Barstool Founder Dave Portnoy, he decided to chime in and ignite the flames of the Malihi controversy.
“Introducing the worst publicist to ever live. Travis Kelce’s publicist reposting a picture that has a clown emoji over Taylor’s face. Even if it was an accident it’s an accident a publicist can’t make. See ya Pia.”
Who Is Pia Malihi?
Malihi is the Co-Founder and President of “Full Scope PR” and states that she grew up in Paris and Los Angeles. Her bio also says that she began her PR career with Bowery Public Relations in LA, where she worked with clients such as Coach and House of Bijan, before joining the publicity team at Jonesworks, where she worked with Dwayne Johnson, Scooter Braun, and Justin Baldoni.

While it seems as if Malihi has been doing this public relations thing for quite some time now, she may need to do work on damage control that was started by her for a change this time around.
Kelce on His Relationship With Swift
Obviously, when dating one of the biggest stars in the world, one would expect a ton of extra attention. Well, that is exactly what Kelce has gotten since taking his relationship with Swift public. At one of the Chiefs’ postgame press conferences, Kelce was asked how he was feeling with everything going on.
“As all the attention comes … it feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl, and right now, I’m even more on top of the world.”
In response to how he’s been handling all of the new eyes on him amid the rumored relationship with Swift, the tight end said he’s “learning” how to navigate “paparazzi just taking photos from all over the place.”
Travis said he understands the territory that comes with Swift’s level of fame, however. “You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason,” he said.
Kelce added that he planned to “just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments. At the end of the day, I’ve always been pretty good about compartmentalizing and being able to stay focused in this building, so I’ll just keep rolling with that.”
