Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has made a name for himself as one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
By his side throughout his journey has been Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife and No. 1 supporter.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ Relationship Timeline
Brittany Mahomes is the well-known wife to two-time Super Bowl MVP QB Patrick Mahomes.
Patrick proposed to her in a VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in August 2020. The moment came just a day after the team received their Super Bowl 54 rings as well as the day after Brittany’s 25th birthday.
Less than a month after the proposal, they announced they were expecting their first child. They welcomed their daughter, Sterling Skye, in February 2021. Their son Bronze was born in November 2022.
The couple officially tied the knot on March 12, 2022, but had been together long before Patrick’s rise as an NFL signal-caller.
Patrick and Brittany began dating during their high school years. The two were even prom dates in 2013 at Whitehouse High School in Tyler, Texas.
Who Is Brittany Mahomes?
Born Brittany Matthews on Aug. 31, 1995, in Whitehouse, Texas, Brittany is an athlete like her husband. In college, she was a soccer star, and she then grew her own company, Brittany Lynne Fitness, which runs programs for clients with guided workouts. She went on to found the Kansas City Current as an expansion team in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2021, co-owning it with Patrick.
She played forward for her high school and, in her senior year, earned All-East Texas honors. She continued her career, suiting up for the University of Texas at Tyler, where she played at the NCAA Division III level.
After Tyler, Brittany continued her soccer career at the club level.
She found her way to Iceland, signing with the club team UMF Afturelding. However, she officially retired from soccer in 2017.
It was also recently announced that Brittany will be making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in 2024.
“As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in (the SI Swimsuit Issue),” she said. “I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.”
Recently, Brittany has picked up more attention as she has been spotted alongside Taylor Swift as the pair support their partners on the Chiefs. Swift is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The two have been seen watching Chiefs games together throughout the season and even showed off a secret handshake back in October.
Swift and Brittany made their Instagram debut as BFFs while wearing matching Chiefs puffer jackets dedicated to their men.
“Twinning & Winning,” Brittany captioned a slideshow of pictures that showed her and Swift modeling their merch.

Swift and Brittany had yet another twinning moment at the AFC Championship Game, where they wore matching baseball caps while cheering on the Chiefs.
Now, the pair will take on the Super Bowl to watch Kelce and Patrick play in the big game. The duo recently broke a record for most postseason touchdowns for a duo in NFL history with 16, passing Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.
