Who Is Mitch Trubisky’s Wife? Everything You Need To Know About Hillary and the Steelers QB’s Growing Family

Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky will be in the national spotlight when he takes over for Kenny Pickett on TNF. Who is Pittsburgh's backup QB's wife?

After Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett suffered an ankle injury and is expected to be out for several weeks, Mitch Trubisky will step in as the starting signal-caller.

Trubisky has already seen some playing time this season, taking Pickett’s place several times. As he sees more playing time in the coming weeks, fans may wonder what Trubisky’s family life looks like.

    Mitch Trubisky’s Wife and Family

Mitch Trubisky first met his wife when he was still with the Chicago Bears. In 2019, the couple appeared together for the first time at the team gala. Then known as Hillary Gallagher, his wife is a private pilates instructor and has been by Trubisky’s side ever since.

In 2021, the couple got married — and last year, they welcomed their first child, Hudson. Since then, Trubisky has been enjoying his life as a husband, father, and professional football player.

“It’s fun, man. I feel blessed,” Trubisky said. “I have an amazing family and support system.”

In the past year, Trubisky has celebrated his son’s first birthday, was inducted into Mentor’s Sports Hall of Fame, and signed a two-year contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers that could keep him with the team for the next three years.

Trubisky is now under contract for three years, $19.4 million. He can reportedly earn up to $33 million over this period.

“Being extended at Pittsburgh is truly a blessing,” he said. “To be able to play the highest level of football for this long, I’m trying to keep it going. I’m excited to be doing it in Pittsburgh for sure.”

Over the summer, Hillary posted a photo on her Instagram Story of her then-13-month-old son Hudson visiting his dad at football training camp. In the first photo, the father-son duo smiles together while Hudson holds a football.

“Visited Daddy at his camp today,” she wrote.

In another photo, Hudson held the football over his head while his dad stayed out of frame, opening his arms to receive him.

For Father’s Day this year, Hillary posted a carousel of photos on Instagram that featured the athlete and his baby son. “Happy Father’s Day @mtrubisky10. Watching you become such an amazing father to Hudson has been the greatest blessing,” she captioned the photos.

Trubisky will find himself playing a larger role in Pittsburgh, as Pickett will be out for several weeks with an ankle injury. The former Chicago Bear is 2-3 as a starter with the Steelers. This season, he has completed 29 of 49 attempts for 273 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

After stepping in for Pickett in the Arizona Cardinals game on Sunday, Trubisky completed 64.7% of his pass attempts for 117 yards and a touchdown. QB Mason Rudolph will operate as the team’s backup behind Trubisky.

The Steelers are 7-5 and currently in the playoff picture. Trubisky will lead the team in a Thursday Night Football matchup against the 2-10 Patriots that will continue to increase the Black and Yellow’s postseason chances.
