ESPN's Monday Night Football coverage will receive expertise from a former scout and safety. Here is more on who Louis Riddick is.

NFL Fans who tune into Monday Night Football haven’t only gotten used to hearing Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. ESPN has another fast-rising analyst who has provided his own expertise in games.

    Louis Riddick’s Career

Louis Riddick has become a regular voice for MNF games.

Part of it stems from his lengthy background as a former football player. Another part involves his involvement in a front office setting.

Riddick played safety at the University of Pittsburgh and emerged as a 1991 ninth-round selection during a time when the draft stretched past seven rounds.

From there, he went on to suit up for the San Francisco 49ers for the 1991 season. His other league stops were with the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland Raiders.

He even had a brief stop in the former World League of American Football, playing for the Sacramento Surge in 1992. His last football stop as a player was in the XFL in 2001 with the Orlando Rage.

Riddick then went on to move into a front-office role. He’s been a scout and director of pro personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders. His last executive role in the league was in 2013 while with the Eagles.

How Long Has Riddick Been With ESPN?

Riddick, 54, is a native of Quakertown, Penn.

It’s a small community north of Philadelphia with a population of less than 10,000, though it’s considered more as a borough in Bucks County.
