In a move to create salary cap space ahead of NFL free agency, the Buffalo Bills parted ways with safety Jordan Poyer.
Poyer was a long-time cornerstone of the Bills defense and was a 2021 All-Pro defender and 2022 Pro Bowler.
As Poyer starts a new chapter in his NFL journey, his family will be by his side, including his wife Rachel Bush.
Everything To Know About Rachel Bush
On Dec. 30, 2016, Poyer and his girlfriend, Rachel Bush, had a baby girl they named Aliyah. Bush is an Instagram model and met Poyer through Twitter. They began dating in 2015 and were married on Feb. 17, 2018, in a ceremony in Jamaica.
After Poyer was released from the Bills, Bush made a series of posts on her Instagram story reflecting on his time in Buffalo.
“I don’t have the words yet but they are coming (along with so many photo memories)” she wrote in the first post.
“Right now I just want my husband to know what a leader and inspiration he is,” she continued in another. “The impact he made will always be remembered. Both within the football world and outside as well. You went into Buffalo and gave that city something they were longing for: Changed the culture … You’re special my love and what you have done is such an accomplishment. A true game changer!!”
In the final image posted to her story, she wrote that she was excited for this next chapter.
“My All Pro, in life and on the field! We love you! Here’s to new beginnings! Something we both always welcome with open arms as we love excitement.”
Bush is well known for her modeling and has a large social media following. She has four million followers on Instagram and 270,000 on TikTok.
She has been vocal about the league in the past, criticizing the officiating in the Bills’ loss to the Eagles last season.
After Buffalo suffered a heartbreaking 37-34 loss to Philadelphia, Bills fans were livid over the allegedly unfair officiating of the game. Beyond just the fact that the Bills had 11 penalties to the Eagles’ four, fans took issue with a few calls in particular. The one that left fans particularly angry was an intentional grounding on quarterback Josh Allen. Bush was one of those angry fans.
“I haven’t said a word about the refs all year but that loss of a TD is on them,” Bush wrote on an Instagram Story, per the New York Post. “This game will 100% be on them if it comes down to that.
“When are we going to start holding them accountable and calling this out!? Enough give me a break, if you’re watching this game it’s more than clear.”
