Who Is Jim Nantz’s Wife? Everything You Need to Know About Courtney Richards

Jim Nantz has been a mainstay on television screens for decades, and over his long career, he's had two wives. Who is his current wife, Courtney Richards?

Jim Nantz has been the voice echoing through our television screens for quite some time across different sports, including the NFL, NBA, NCAA, PGA, and more. With Nantz having a long, successful career in the broadcasting booth, he’s had a life of his own, too. But there’s also someone who’s been by his side supporting him along the way.

Who Is Courtney Richards, Jim Nantz’s Wife?

Nantz was born May 17, 1959, in Charlotte, N.C. Despite being born in North Carolina, though, he grew up in Louisiana and New Jersey. He attended the University of Houston, where he played on the school’s men’s golf team and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television Broadcasting in 1981.

His first marriage came in 1983 when he married his now ex-wife, Ann-Lorraine “Lorrie” Carlsen Nantz. The two were married for 26 years before divorcing in 2009.

However, despite a long marriage, the divorce in 2009 was a messy one. The two lived together in Westport, Conn., and had one child together, their daughter Caroline. After the divorce, a judge ruled that Nantz was ordered to pay his ex-wife $916,000 a year in child support and alimony.

During the ugly divorce, Nantz began a relationship with Courtney Richards, his current wife. The two met through IMG, a talent management company representing Nantz, where Richards worked as vice president.

Nantz had acknowledged he dated Richards, who was 29 years old at the time, before the divorce was final. The judge, however, ruled that the event didn’t contribute to the deterioration of the marriage and that it had begun breaking down years beforehand.

Ultimately, Richards and Nantz got engaged while vacationing with George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush. The couple stayed engaged for 21 months before getting married in 2012 in Pebble Beach, Calif., where the two lived until 2021.

Nantz and Richards had their first child together in 2014, when Finley Cathleen Nantz was born, giving Nantz his second daughter. Additionally, the couple had their first son in 2016 when Jameson Nantz was born.

After moving out of their Pebble Beach home, which Nantz bought in 2011, the couple moved to Nashville, Tenn., where they currently reside. The two are relatively private about their lives, with the exception of Nantz’s two books he’s published.

The Super Bowl will kick off in Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. ET. It will mark the seventh Super Bowl Nantz has been involved in. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on Paramount+.
