Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning is the latest in a lengthy list of backup quarterbacks to garner headlines in 2023. It’s fair to say he’s been among the best.
Browning’s registered a 3-1 record as a starter since stepping in for incumbent Joe Burrow last month. Furthermore, he’s led the Bengals to a 3-0 mark in his last three games. Yet Browning’s been far from a caretaker; rather, he’s done his best Burrow impression during December.
He’s thrown for 953 yards and five scores this month, plus another two touchdowns on the ground. He’ll look to keep that level of play going in a big AFC North showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers this Saturday afternoon. Bengals fans will, of course, be rooting for Browning’s continued success.
So too will his girlfriend, Stephanie Niles.
Who Is Jake Browning’s Girlfriend, Stephanie Niles?
Niles, like Browning, is a University of Washington alum. As you’d likely expect, the two began dating when they were supporting, or in Browning’s case playing, for the Huskies in-house. The two have now been together for over half a decade.
When Niles graduated from Washington she did so with a bachelor in accounting, according to her LinkedIn. She parlayed her education into a career initially in finance and then as an information system project manager with Decked, LLC. Decked is an auto parts manufacturer, one imagines her promotion still has her focused largely on the company’s financials.

Niles is also an aspiring designer. She co-founded 7th Street Swim in February of 2020. The New York-based women’s clothing line prides itself on being environmentally friendly as it’s made from recycled materials. She described it on her LinkedIn page as follows:
“A luxury, sustainable swimwear brand born in NYC, 7th Street Swim brings city girls to the beach and does it with the planet in mind. Our updated classics will never go out of style, just like the city that inspired them.”

Niles could be spotted among the rest of Browning’s family supporting her boyfriend from Joe Burrow’s family’s box seats two weeks ago during Cincinnati’s home tilt with the Indianapolis Colts. It’s obvious that this moment means a lot to them all after watching him wait years for this opportunity.
Browning himself garnered some attention this past week, telling reporters that he felt like he needed a beer after an exhilarating win over the Minnesota Vikings. Per the New York Post, Niles doubled down on her boyfriend’s sentiments on Instagram soon thereafter.
She shared a clip of that interview on her story and captioned it: “I’ll take something stronger, please.”
NFL fans might feel like they, and the players, are the only ones riding the roller coaster that is their team’s regular season, but Niles confirmed players’ significant others are also often left needing a stiff drink after enduring the stresses of a close game.
We’ll see if Niles and Browning are having a celebratory drink or a sorrowful one come Saturday evening.
