Gracie Hunt is no ordinary NFL fan — she’s the heiress to the Kansas City Chiefs. Football runs deep in her veins as her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, founded the Dallas Texans, who later became the Chiefs.
After Lamar’s death in 2006, Gracie’s father, Clark Hunt, inherited the franchise as chairman and CEO. Gracie has quickly become a fan favorite at Chiefs games, often seen cheering on the team, snapping photos, and attending press conferences.
As the Chiefs prepare to pursue a three-peat, Gracie remains an influential and beloved presence both on the sidelines and online.
Who Is Gracie Hunt?
Gracie Hunt is more than just the heiress to the Chiefs, as she’s also a social media sensation, philanthropist, and former beauty queen. She was born in 1999 to Clark and Tavia Hunt. Gracie is the eldest of the family’s three children; she has one brother, Knobel, and one sister, Ava.
A permanent presence at Chiefs games, even seen alongside Taylor Swift, Gracie has always been surrounded by sports. Her father is the chairman and CEO of the Chiefs, and her late grandfather, Lamar, was a key figure in creating both the American Football League and Major League Soccer.
Gracie’s first love was soccer. She won a championship with her high school team and she played at the club level, inspired by her grandfather’s involvement in founding MLS and her father’s own soccer success at Southern Methodist University.
However, the 25-year-old eventually transitioned from the soccer field to winning beauty pageants such as Miss Texas Teen International and Miss Kansas USA. Her mother, Tavia, who also has a history in pageants, was Gracie’s support system and inspiration.
“It’s really nice to get to walk down a road with someone who has been down that path before,” Gracie told PEOPLE of her mother back in 2021. “It really has just bonded us so much.”
Gracie also gives back to the community. In 2016, she founded “Breaking Barriers Through Sports” to inspire confidence in young people. Her philanthropic work has global roots, with her organization conducting sports workshops in countries like Zambia, South Africa, Brazil, etc. She has been an ambassador for the Special Olympics and has collaborated with NFL Play60 to promote youth fitness.
Also, she is a health enthusiast at heart, motivated by her experience with celiac disease. She holds certifications in nutrition and personal training. She shares her passion for healthy living through her lifestyle blog, “Living Gracefully,” where she offers workout tips, fashion advice, and travel insights, among other things.
Lately, Hunt traded in her pageant crown for running shoes. She boasts of completing two full marathons and two half marathons in 2022. Whether she’s on the sidelines at a Chiefs game, advocating for health and wellness, or running marathons, the Chiefs heiress is leaving a mark on the world while carrying on her family’s legacy.
