Who Is Easton Stick’s Girlfriend? A Look at LPGA Star Cheyenne Knight

Los Angeles Chargers backup QB Easton Stick is set to draw the first start of his five-year pro career in place of the injured Justin Herbert during Thursday night’s clash with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Stick was a fifth-round pick out of North Dakota State back in 2019. Thanks largely to incumbent starter Herbert’s durability, he’s been limited to just 25 career passing attempts as a pro, but a season-ending fractured finger by Herbert in last Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos will grant Stick a prolonged opportunity under center.

Chargers fans will be pulling for the little-known signal-caller to excel in his four-game audition as a starting quarterback in the NFL. Among Stick’s biggest supporters, though, will be his girlfriend, Cheyenne Knight. While Stick is just now getting the opportunity to break out at the next level, his girlfriend has already enjoyed a great deal of success in her chosen profession.

Who Is Easton Stick’s Girlfriend, Cheyenne Knight?

One thing Stick and Knight have in common is that they were both standout collegiate athletes. But where Stick plied his trade at a mid-major program in NDSU, Knight was a standout women’s golfer for a premier team in the SEC: the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Knight’s player profile from her tenure with the Tide helps to emphasize just how decorated a collegiate career she enjoyed. She earned First Team All-SEC honors and was named a First Team WGCA All-American three times apiece. She was also named SEC Player of the Year for her efforts following the 2016-17 season.

With her undergrad career in mind, it’s no surprise that Knight has enjoyed substantial success since moving up the ranks. The 26-year-old turned pro in 2019, shortly after graduating from Alabama, and has been a regular on the LPGA tour in the half-decade since.

Knight has captured two major victories during the time she’s spent on the LPGA tour. The first came as a rookie in the Volunteers of America Classic in October of 2019. She shot a combined 18-under par to capture her first major victory, as well as a $195,000 purse, per LPGA.com.

One might think such an emphatic entrance would portend numerous tournament victories to follow, but it would be some time before Knight found herself back within the winner’s circle. She still managed to display continual improvement, finishing in the top 20 of three LPGA major championships in the past two years.

Her perseverance paid off this past July, as she and teammate Elizabeth Szokol captured victory in the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational.

Not only was the victory a humongous feather in Knight’s cap, but the $328,000 victory was also a huge contributing factor in what’s been her highest-grossing year to date. She recently surpassed $1 million for the year.

Similarly, Stick will earn over $1 million for his efforts this year (per Spotrac), but this is his first opportunity to go out and earn that money on the field as the starter. Fortunately, he’ll have a valuable resource to lean on in his girlfriend and fellow pro athlete

Knight spoke to the Los Angeles Daily News earlier this year about how much both halves of the couple appreciated having someone who could relate in-house to share their experiences with.

“He gets nervous before games, and I get nervous, as well. So just kind of sharing how we deal with that helps,” Knight said. “Professional sports, they’re hard. Having someone to share that with and just someone to respect how hard it is is nice. From the outside looking in, it looks like a very nice life, but a lot of work and time and travel goes into it. Just leaning on each other in that way.”
