Curt Menefee is most widely known as the host of FOX NFL Sunday, but his career in the broadcasting world has spanned decades. Let’s take a look back at Menefee’s life and career in advance of Super Bowl 57.
Curt Menefee’s Career
After growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, then attending Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Menefee began his career as a broadcaster with stints in Jacksonville, Madison, and Des Moines. He then headed to Dallas, where he served as sports director of WNYW-TV and hosted a sports radio show on “The Ticket.”
Menefee moved to New York, working as a sportscaster for both MNYW FOX5 and MSG. During that time, he received the Associated Press Award for Best Sports Reporter in New York.
In 1997, Menefee joined Fox Sports as a sideline reporter. He subsequently called play-by-play action for NFL Europe and contributed to FOX’s NFL coverage on both Fox Sports and FSN.
In 2006, Menefee succeeded James Brown as the host of FOX NFL Sunday, a role he holds to this day. Menefee leads FOX’s pregame show alongside Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Jimmy Johnson.

At the team level, Menefee previously worked as a preseason play-by-play announcer for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He currently calls preseason games for the Seattle Seahawks.
