Social media personality Kylie Cox, widely known as “Sketch,” has gone viral for his unique catchphrases and exploits on a variety of video games, primarily EA Sports’ Madden NFL.
Now, he is set to be in front of the NFL world at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit this week.
Viral Sensation Sketch To Announce Texans’ Draft Pick
The Houston Texans announced Wednesday that Sketch will announce one of the team’s selections during the draft with a clip posted to their account on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The clip includes Sketch saying his famous “What’s up, brother?” line that has become widely used.

It’s unclear at this point which of Houston’s picks Sketch will ultimately announce. The Texans did not have a first-round selection, but they do have nine picks in the draft, including Nos. 42, 59, 86, 123, 127, 188, 189, 238, and 247, with two selections in each of the second, fourth, sixth, and seventh rounds.
That draft capital could also allow the Texans to move around depending on the team’s strategy and how highly they regard available players.
Either way, Sketch will get his chance to announce one of the team’s selections. The social media sensation has gained widespread popularity recently and is now up to more than 396,000 subscribers on YouTube and 1.8 million followers on TikTok.
He is also a noted Texans fan who is often seen wearing jerseys of various Houston players in his videos, including quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Stroud was one of several players Houston selected in the 2023 NFL Draft who have quickly turned into impact players for the team. He threw for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns, and five interceptions along with three rushing touchdowns across 15 starts last year on his way to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and a Pro Bowl nod.
Fellow 2023 selection Will Anderson Jr. won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award after posting 45 tackles (29 solo), 10 tackles for loss, seven sacks and one pass breakup.
The Texans took Stroud second overall and Anderson third overall in the 2023 draft.
They also added an impact wide receiver in the third round with University of Houston product Nathaniel “Tank” Dell, who caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns across 11 appearances in an injury-shortened 2023 season as the team’s second-leading receiver.
That trio helped lead Houston to a resurgent season under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans, which was one of the surprise stories of the 2023 campaign. The Texans went 10-7 and won a Wild Card round playoff game over the Cleveland Brown after posting three straight seasons with four or fewer wins.
The Texans will look to add some more impact players to the roster with this year’s draft picks, and Sketch could end up announcing one of the franchise’s next key contributors.
