Who are the risers and fallers in the Week 12 Power Rankings?

Week 11 saw the number one team in our Week 12 Power Rankings silence any doubters with a crushing victory over Houston. Let's take a look at who else left an impression this past week.

    17. Philadelphia Eagles (5-5, Last Week: 18)

Week 11 Result: Lost to New England, 17-10

You sometimes hate to single out players, but Nelson Agholor has been brutal in big situations this season. He dropped another potential game-winning touchdown against the Patriots, just like he did against the Falcons in Week 2. However, let’s not exonerate Carson Wentz. He has also been brutal at times this season, and a major reason the Eagles have not been as effective on offense as they once were. This team is a far cry from the one that won the Super Bowl two years ago. With Seattle coming to town next week, things might only get worse for the Eagles. Their saving grace is that their remaining schedule is more favorable than the Cowboys. Three of Philadelphia’s final four games are against the 2-8 Giants and the 1-9 Redskins, plus they host the return match against Dallas. The Cowboys have the Patriots, Bills, and Rams among their final six games. Week 16 could still decide the NFC East.

    18. Carolina Panthers (5-5, Last Week: 16)

Week 11 Result: Lost to Atlanta, 29-3

Kyle Allen has really taken a turn for the worse. Once upon a time, Allen had seven touchdowns and zero interceptions in four games. Since then, he has thrown three touchdowns and nine interceptions. Only six quarterbacks have more interceptions this season than Allen. Sunday may have been rock bottom for the Panthers, with Allen throwing four interceptions and getting sacked five times, leaving the Carolina Panthers sitting at 5-5 and watching their playoff hopes quickly fade away. At least Christian McCaffrey continues to be a star, with almost 200 total yards against the Falcons. But the bottom line is that this offense has completely crumbled and you quietly begin to wonder if this is the beginning of the end for Ron Rivera as head coach.

    19. Los Angeles Chargers (4-7, Last Week: 19)

Week 11 Result: Lost to Kansas City, 24-17

Yet again, the Chargers found a way to disappoint everyone. They hung in close, as they usually do, but fell short in the result, as they usually do. Missed opportunities to score seven instead of three and four interceptions from Philip Rivers ultimately doomed the Chargers, who have now almost doubled their loss total from last season. The Chargers cannot wait for Derwin James to come back. At least they have a week off in Week 12.

    20. Atlanta Falcons (3-7, Last Week: 26)

Week 11 Result: Defeated Carolina, 29-3

Who would have thought it would take Dan Quinn handing off the defensive responsibility duties for Atlanta’s defense to rise from the dead? That’s two games since the bye that Atlanta has not allowed a touchdown, have registered 11 sacks and outscored the Saints and Panthers 55-12 in those games. The Falcons have found their swagger and may very well make it three in a row with the Buccaneers coming up in Week 12.

    21. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6, Last Week: 20)

Week 11 Result: Lost to Indianapolis, 33-13

Nick Foles made his return to the Jaguars after suffering a broken collarbone in Week 1. While he did throw a pair of touchdowns, the Jaguars’ defense was shredded by the Colts’ run game, allowing a pair of 100-yard rushers in the 33-13 loss. That’s not good when you’re facing Derrick Henry next week. On the bright side, Josh Allen has been having a tremendous rookie season with eight sacks. However, because of the performance of Nick Bosa and the Jaguars being 4-6, no one is really talking about Allen and that’s a shame.

    22. Chicago Bears (4-6, Last Week: 21)

Week 11 Result: Lost to Los Angeles Rams, 17-10

The wheels look to have finally fallen off for the Bears. The offense had been ugly and now Mitchell Trubisky had to be pulled from Sunday’s loss with a hip injury, being replaced with Chase Daniel. There aren’t too many teams that have been more disappointing this season than Chicago and now they have major questions about the future of their quarterback situation.

    23. Cleveland Browns (4-6, Last Week: 24)

Week 11 Result: Defeated Pittsburgh, 21-7

Even with the win on Thursday, the Browns still lost. What happened at the end of Thursday’s game was one of the ugliest scenes we’ve seen on a football field. There were only a few seconds left on the clock, but instead of getting out of the game and preparing for next week, Myles Garrett is now done for the season, and deservedly so. This is just the latest, and worst, in a string of undisciplined events under Freddie Kitchens, who will absolutely be under fire after the season if Cleveland does not make a big run down the stretch.

    24. Detroit Lions (3-6-1, Last Week: 22)

Week 11 Result: Lost to Dallas, 35-27

It’s easy to forget Bo Scarbrough was still floating around the league, but he actually led the Lions in rushing against the Cowboys, and the offense had a much better outing than they did against the Bears. Unfortunately, their defense let them down again and have been the biggest reason Detroit’s season quickly went south. At least they’ll be favored next week against the Redskins.
