    An NFL Network Original

Eisen was the first on-air talent hired by the NFL Network ahead of its launch in November 2003. He left for the NFL Network after working at ESPN in several different roles from 1996 to 2003. Eisen was paired with Stuart Scott to host SportsCenter in 1996, and the two formed one of the most notable teams in the history of the network’s flagship show.

Eisen usually spends his Sunday mornings hosting NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning and hosting The Rich Eisen Show weekdays on The Roku Channel and SiriusXM. Eisen also hosts the NFL Draft and scouting combine for the NFL Network each year.

At the scouting combine, Eisen runs a 40-yard dash each year to raise money to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This past spring was the 19th year he made the charity sprint, and he posted a time of 6.22 seconds. It was slightly under two seconds slower than Michigan cornerback DJ Turner’s 4.26 time.

    Kurt Warner’s NFL Journey

After playing at Northern Iowa, Warner started his professional football career as an undrafted rookie quarterback with the Green Bay Packers in 1994. He had to make several stops to get back to the NFL after the team cut him during training camp.

His next step was in Iowa, where he stocked shelves at a grocery store and played in the Arena Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers. After three seasons of playing arena football, he moved on to the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe, a developmental league.

Warner signed with the St. Louis Rams for the 1998 season and made his NFL debut later that year. In 1999, the Rams signed Trent Green as the starting quarterback, but he suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. This opened the door for Warner to be the team’s starter in Week 1.

Warner, running back Marshall Faulk, and wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt turned the Rams’ offense into a high-scoring unit and earned the nickname “Greatest Show on Turf.” Warner earned MVP honors in 1999 and was also named Super Bowl MVP after the Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans.

Warner won another MVP and led the team back to the Super Bowl in the 2001 season, but the Rams were upset by the New England Patriots. He moved to the New York Giants in 2004 before signing with the Arizona Cardinals. In 2008, Warner and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald led Arizona to a Super Bowl but suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Warner retired after leading the Cardinals to another playoff appearance in 2009. He finished his career with over 32,000 pass yards and 208 touchdowns in 124 games. Warner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
