Former Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa is hoping to hear his name called in the 2024 NFL Draft.
His parents have experienced an NFL Draft before with current Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. They played a big role in his journey to the NFL, and they also played a big role in Taulia’s.
A Look at Taulia Tagovailoa’s Parents
Tagovailoa was born to Galu and Diane Tagovailoa in Ewa Beach, Hawaii on Feb. 15, 2000.
Taulia’s parents have been a huge part of his life as he gets closer to fulfilling his dream of playing in the NFL.
Football has been a major part of the family for some time, and the journey with Tua has helped Taulia and his parents as they enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
Getting To Know Taulia’s Father, Galu
He has been heavily involved with sports for some time, both on a personal level with his family and on the professional level.
Galu runs Raising Champions LLC, which is an organization that trains athletes. Galu’s father, Seu Tagovailoa, was really the person in the family who made football an emphasis. It was his dream that his grandchildren would make it to the NFL. He passed away in 2014, and this is when Galu really started to focus on trying to help his sons make it to the league.
Galu has coached both of his sons throughout their football careers, and he has been a huge part of Taulia’s development both on and off the field.
Getting To Know Taulia’s Mother, Diane
While her husband and sons have been in the public eye for some time, Diane has been able to stay out of it for the most part.

Both Tua and Taulia have shown on social media multiple times the love they have for their mother. While she is there to support and celebrate their achievements, she also enjoys staying away and allowing them to get the recognition they deserve.
Does Taulia Tagovailoa Have Siblings?
Yes, he has three siblings. He has two sisters, Taylor and Taysia. They are like their mom in the sense they enjoy being out of the limelight.
Taulia’s older brother is Dolphins starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Tua burst onto the scene in football during his freshman year at Alabama. After not playing for much of the season, he was put into the lineup in the National Championship against Georgia.
He ended up hitting wide receiver DeVonta Smith for a touchdown in overtime that helped secure the win for the Crimson Tide over Georgia.

In the next two years as the starting quarterback for Alabama, Tua had 6,806 passing yards, 76 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. After declaring as a junior, Miami drafted him fifth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Tua has been the starter for the Dolphins, and he is coming off the best season of his career. He helped lead the Dolphins to the playoffs after throwing for 4,624 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions last year.

The two brothers have a great relationship both on and off the field. Taulia has said that Tua is there in his corner telling him what he needs to hear.
