The Baltimore Ravens visit the Los Angeles Chargers on NBC’s Sunday Night Football for the network’s second game of Week 12. The Thanksgiving night game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks was on NBC. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET.
The Ravens are coming off a home win against the Cincinnati Bengals and need a win to stay at the top of the AFC. The Chargers enter the game on a two-game losing streak and are in danger of falling out of the playoff race.
When Does NBC’s Coverage Start?
Maria Taylor will be the host of Football Night in America, which kicks off NBC’s pregame coverage at 7 p.m. ET. Former head coaches Tony Dungy and Jason Garrett and former players Devin McCourty, Chris Simms, and Rodney Harrison will provide analysis.
NFL insider Mike Florio, fantasy sports expert Matthew Berry, and Jac Collinsworth are also on the show.
Who Are the Game Announcers for Ravens-Chargers?
Mike Tirico and Garrett are in the booth, with Melissa Stark as the sideline reporter and Terry McAulay as the rules analyst. Cris Collinsworth is off after working on Thanksgiving night.

Tirico is in his second season as the play-by-play announcer for Sunday Night Football. He joined NBC in 2012 and has hosted several events, including the Olympics, the Indianapolis 500, and golf’s U.S. Open and Open Championship. Tirico spent 25 years at ESPN and was the Monday Night Football play-by-play announcer for 10 seasons.
Garrett is in his second season with NBC and is usually an analyst during Football Night in America and halftime on Sunday nights. He is also an analyst for Notre Dame games on NBC.
Stark is in her second season as a sideline reporter for NBC. Along with NBC, she worked for ESPN and the NFL Network during her career.
McAulay joined NBC as a rules analyst in 2018 after 20 years as an on-field NFL official. He was a referee for 17 seasons and was assigned to the Super Bowl three times.
Jason Garrett’s NFL Journey
Jason Garrett signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent quarterback out of Princeton in 1989. He stayed with the Saints for one season before going back to Princeton to be an assistant coach in 1990.
After playing in the World League and CFL in 1991, Garrett signed with the Dallas Cowboys and joined the team’s practice squad. He was a member of three Super Bowl championship teams in seven years with the team.
One of his greatest career moments was on Thanksgiving Day in 1994, when he started for the Cowboys against the Green Bay Packers. With Troy Aikman and Rodney Peete injured, Garrett passed for 311 yards and two touchdowns, leading Dallas to a 42-31 win.
He played his eighth and final season with the New York Giants in 2000 before pursuing a second career in coaching. After two years as a quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins, he became the Cowboys offensive coordinator in 2007.
Garrett was named interim head coach to replace Wade Phillips halfway through the 2010 season. He was named head coach after the team went 5-3 to finish the season.
Garrett was the Cowboys head coach for nine full seasons until 2019. He won three NFC East titles and led the team to an 85-67 record as head coach. He spent parts of two seasons as the Giants’ offensive coordinator after leaving Dallas.
