Browns vs. Seahawks Game Preview
On Cleveland’s side of things, the team’s starters will log workloads that will be enough to serve as final preparation for the imminent 17-game regular season. Quarterback Deshaun Watson isn’t an exception, as he’s slated to take the field for the first time in the 2024 preseason. It will be his first game action since Week 10 of the 2023 regular season.
The Seahawks, on the other hand, will also play their starters. “The plan is you’ll see a lot of starters to start the game,’’ said head coach Mike Macdonald on Thursday. “How many reps and all that it (will be) kind of on a per-person-type basis. But the plan is to see a good amount of the guys.”
Quarterback Geno Smith, along with the other offensive starters, have yet to play a down through the preseason.
Beyond the starters, rookie wide receiver Jamari Thrash is a name to watch for the Browns. He caught three passes for 43 yards in Cleveland’s second preseason game against the Packers.
For the Seahawks, second-year running back Kenny McIntosh is a player to keep your eye on. Against the Titans in Seattle’s second preseason game, McIntosh gained 46 yards on eight carries (5.8 yards per carry).
