Super Bowl 57 will end what has been a season full of intrigue. After a playoff series that saw some of the best battle it out, we now know which two NFL teams will be playing in the Super Bowl. Which Teams Are Playing in Super Bowl 57?
The first team to punch their ticket to Super Bowl 2023 were the Philadelphia Eagles. The top seed in the NFC managed to defeat the San Francisco 49ers and their fourth-string QB. The NFL season’s biggest surprise, Brock Purdy, was injured in the first quarter, forcing Josh Johnson into the game for San Francisco.
The fourth player to play the position for San Fran this year, Johnson did his best to keep the game close, but defensive penalties and mistakes sealed the deal for the 49ers. Chrisitan McCaffrey was once again a key player in the game, but even behind this excellent offensive line, the run game struggled with the team being so far behind.
The Eagles didn’t need to do much after jumping to a quick 21-7 lead in the first half, with Jalen Hurts becoming somewhat of a game manager against an elite 49ers defense.

Philadelphia will now prepare to do battle with the Kansas City Chiefs, who managed to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in an exciting AFC showdown.
The Chiefs limped into the game — literally — with QB Patrick Mahomes suffering from a high ankle sprain. In addition to their star QB being less than 100%, tight end Travis Kelce also suffered from back spasms during the team’s final practice on Friday. He was a game-time decision heading into the game.
Ultimately, both played and both did the jobs that they were expected to do. Mahomes was his excellent self, and aside from a few missteps, the offense looked as good as it had all year. The defense was the one unit that really surprised. Heading into the game, they were one of the worst in the league against the pass. But you wouldn’t have guessed it from this week’s performance.
