Chiefs and Eagles, recent Super Bowl rivals, lead in 2023 with veteran Kelce brothers, Travis (Chiefs) and Jason (Eagles). Who's the older Kelce?

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are two of the best teams in football, having just met in the Super Bowl last season. In 2023, both teams lead their divisions.

A big reason why has been their veteran players. Both teams have a Kelce brother, Travis for the Chiefs and Jason for the Eagles. Both have been with their respective teams for a long time. Who’s the oldest of the two?

Who’s Older, Jason or Travis Kelce?

Jason and Travis Kelce were both born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, to their parents Ed and Donna Kelce. Jason was born Nov. 5, 1987, while Travis was born Oct. 5, 1989.

Both played high school football at Cleveland Heights High School. Jason played running back and linebacker while Travis played quarterback. Travis was a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball, and he totaled 2,539 yards and 31 touchdowns on offense.

After successful high school careers, both attended the University of Cincinnati. Jason was a walk-on running back, while Travis was a two-star recruit. During their times at Cincinnati, Jason and Travis found their future positions at center and tight end. Jason was named Second-Team All-Big East twice, with Travis getting first-team once.

In Travis’ four seasons at Cincinnati, he caught 59 passes for 875 yards and 10 touchdowns. He redshirted his freshman season and was suspended in 2010, leaving him only three seasons of playtime.

Eventually, both were drafted into the NFL. Jason was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Travis, on the other hand, was taken in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. Both have played for the same team their entire careers.

In his 13-year NFL career, Jason has been a First-Team All-Pro five times, a Pro Bowler six times, and a Super Bowl Champion once. His All-Pros came in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. The Eagles were Super Bowl LII Champions.

Travis, on the other hand, is one of the greatest tight ends of all time. He is a two-time Super Bowl Champion (LIV, LVII), four-time First-Team All-Pro, and eight-time Pro Bowler. He was also named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. In his career, he has 888 receptions for 11,157 yards and 80 touchdowns.

On top of being some of the best in the NFL, they are also in the podcasting business. The two started the ‘New Heights’ podcast, where they discuss their playing careers and other topics.
