While being one of the top college football players in the country and preparing for the next step of your career without any distractions is commendable, it drew a hilarious reaction from Cam Newton.

Cam Newton Recalls Hilarious Incident With Travis Hunter

During the 23rd episode of the Colorado star’s show called “The Travis Hunter Show”, Cam Newton shared a hilarious story from the time he took Hunter to his place.

Newton explained how he doesn’t bring too many people to his house and Hunter was one of the few that had the honor only to find him awol. The former NFL quarterback shared how he was looking for Hunter and found him sleeping the whole time he was there.

While it was a funny story to remember, Newton took a moment to appreciate how it shows Hunter’s determination and hard work, showcasing that he’s been working all day which is why he’s tired now and wants to rest.

“I don’t really bring a lot of people to my house. I brought him to my house and I’m like… bro… where is this dude at?” Newton said. “He’s literally asleep. The whole time… But that showed me, like, bro, he’s really, really tired. He’s really resting.”

Newton also shared that it was a scrimmage day, and there were those who were excited to see Newton and went gaga over the Heisman Trophy winner.

The ex-Panther QB admitted that he hasn’t seen a player gather this much attention, especially at a high school.

“We had like a scrimmage that day, and the kids were like, ‘Hey Cam, can I get a picture?’ ‘Hey Trav, Trav, Trav, Trav! I want to get a picture too!’ I’ve never had a player that garners that much attention, and at high school. Those are my Travis Hunter stories.”

Hunter is predicted to be the no.1 overall pick by many analysts and is expected to land with the Tennessee Titans.
