Beyoncé To Perform in Her Hometown on Christmas Day NFL Stage

On December 25th, while many people are celebrating the Christmas holiday with family and friends, Beyoncé will be signing her heart out at halftime of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston.

The artist will serve as the entertainment for the game. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is one player who does not want to go back to the locker room and miss the show. He wants to stand on the field and watch Beyoncé perform.

Asked on Monday if he was a little disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to watch the musical icon perform at halftime on Christmas, Jackson said he doesn’t plan on being in the locker room.

“I’m going to go out there and watch,” Jackson said via ESPN. “[It will be my] first time seeing Beyoncé perform, and it’s at our game — that’s dope. I’m going to go out and watch. Sorry [Ravens coach John] Harbaugh, sorry. Sorry, fellas.”

Jackson was asked if watching the halftime show would be contingent on the Ravens building a comfortable lead.

“No, I’m not even thinking about the lead,” Jackson said. “I was just thinking about just seeing Beyoncé for the first time.”

Of course, Beyoncé is no stranger to the NFL’s grand stage. In 2013, she delivered a show-stopping halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, where she was joined by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a memorable Destiny’s Child reunion. Three years later, at Super Bowl 50, Beyoncé returned to the field alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars, captivating an audience.

Is Beyoncé a Houston Texans Fan?

Maybe? We actually do not know the answer to that question because the superstar has never publicly revealed her favorite team.

Beyoncé’s Houston roots are undeniable, but whether she’s a devoted Texans fan is another question entirely.

The 43-year-old global superstar is no stranger to the sports world, frequently attending high-profile events across the globe. However, beyond her admiration for individual legends like Serena Williams and LeBron James — and the Brooklyn Nets, a team her husband, Jay-Z, once had a stake in — her deeper sports allegiances remain unclear.

She’s been spotted sporting Longhorns gear, a nod to the region’s strong football culture. It’s reasonable to think she has some level of appreciation for the Texans, given they’re her hometown team. Still, the extent of her loyalty to the franchise is something of a mystery.

Beyoncé’s Net Worth Is Quite Impressive

As of 2024, Beyoncé’s net worth is $760 million, according to Forbes.

Her nearly one-billion-dollar net worth comes from her close to three decades as a solo performer, seven solo albums, former Ivy Park clothing line, and more. Her husband, rapper Jay-Z, also has nearly double that amount of wealth. From his hit records to his lucrative businesses (Roc Nation management company, D’usse cognac, and more), Forbes estimates Jay-Z’s net worth to be somewhere around the $2.5 billion mark.

According to Varietyher Renaissance World Tour alone made a whopping $579 million worldwide, with 2.7 million fans attending across 56 dates in 39 cities. During this tour, her show at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium became the highest-grossing concert by a female artist in history, earning her more than $16.5 million, according to Chart Data.
