The Baltimore Ravens are one of the best teams in the NFL, sitting at 7-3, and quarterback Lamar Jackson is a big reason why. In 10 games, Jackson has passed for 2,177 yards and 10 touchdowns with five interceptions. He also adds a 70.3% completion percentage and 92 carries for 481 yards and five more touchdowns.
In six seasons with Baltimore, Jackson has passed for 14,386 yards, 111 touchdowns, and 43 interceptions. He also has run for 4,918 yards and 29 touchdowns. During that time, he was named MVP once, back in 2019.
Now, Jackson’s legacy wasn’t born in the NFL. It had to start somewhere else. Where did he go to college?

In his two seasons starting at Boynton Beach, Jackson passed for 2,263 yards and 31 touchdowns to only nine interceptions. He also ran the ball 192 times for 1,624 and 22 touchdowns.
Jackson would go on to sign with the Louisville Cardinals on Feb. 4, 2015. He chose the Cardinals over the semi-local Florida Gators. He wanted to be coached by a quarterback guru in Bobby Petrino. Additionally, he chose to major in communications.
During his three seasons in Louisville, Jackson passed for 9,043 yards and 69 touchdowns with just 27 interceptions. He added 655 carries for 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns. His best season was 2016, he won the Heisman Trophy and was a consensus All-American. On top of those awards, he was a two-time ACC Player of the Year winner.
Following his 2017 season, Jackson was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Ravens traded up with the Philadelphia Eagles for the 32nd pick, where they selected Jackson.
Many people, including reported scouts, believed Jackson should have switched to receiver. He didn’t, though, and that decision turned him into an NFL MVP.
