When Will the 2023-2024 NFL MVP Be Announced? NFL Honors Date and Start Time Explored

The NFL MVP Award is given yearly to the best player during the regular season. When will the 2023 season’s winner be announced?

    2023-2024 NFL MVP Announcement

The 2023-2024 MVP Award will be presented at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas at the NFL Honors Award ceremony on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

NFL Honors is an awards show held after each season. Just like the Oscars or the Grammys, a variety of awards will be handed out at NFL Honors in front of a star-studded audience with a celebrity host.

Keegan-Michael Key, an Emmy-winning actor, will host the 2024 NFL Honors. Key previously hosted the show in 2017 and 2022.

Other former hosts include Alec Baldwin (2012-14), Seth Meyers (2015), Conan O’Brien (2016), Rob Riggle (2018), Steve Harvey (2019-21), and Kelly Clarkson (2023).

The show will air live on CBS and NFL Network. It will also be available to stream live on Paramount+ and NFL+.

Aside from the MVP award, over 20 individuals will be recognized at the award show. Additionally, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be announced after 15 finalists were revealed in December.

The awards given include Coach of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Rookie of the Year, Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, and many more.

Who Is the Favorite To Win the 2023-2024 NFL MVP Award?

Baltimore Ravens dual-threat QB Lamar Jackson is the odds-on favorite to win the 2023-2024 NFL MVP Award. The signal-caller has been phenomenal this season and helped guide his team to the best record in the league.

Jackson had one of his best statistical seasons in the 2023-24 season, amassing a stat line of 3,678 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 16 games. He also added 821 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

MORE: Dallas Robinson’s 2023 NFL Awards

The Louisville product started the season with a well-deserved new deal from the Ravens. His new contract made him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

He appears to be the likely front-runner for the MVP at this point, but Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy and RB Christian McCaffrey, and even Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott are also contenders.

Allen overcame some early turnover issues to lead the Bills into the playoffs after a collective rough start to the season. He ultimately threw for 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions while rushing for 524 yards and 15 more scores.

Purdy and McCaffrey have both had strong seasons, while Prescott put up strong numbers through much of the regular season before Dallas’ playoff collapse.

Over the last decade, we’ve seen some of the best quarterbacks in the league capture the MVP, including Kansas City Chief Patrick Mahomes, then-Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers, and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. Jackson previously won the award in 2019.

Time will tell who ultimately takes home the trophy, but Jackson has certainly made a strong case to win his second MVP award.
