With the NFL season reaching the midway point in 2022, the NFL trade deadline is just hours away. In 2022, the deadline ends on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET. According to ESPN’s Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, five trades have been agreed to before the 4 p.m. deadline, with more on the horizon.
Since the NFL pushed the trade deadline to the Tuesday after Week 8 in 2012, more movement has happened in the prior week than on the day of the NFL trade deadline itself.
The first big move of the day just went through as the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings agreed to an intradivisional trade within the NFC North. The Vikings sent their 2023 second-round pick and a 2024 third-round pick to the Lions in exchange for tight end T.J. Hockenson, a 2023 fourth-round selection, and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick.
The move makes waves as it’s the first in-division trade this season and gives the 6-1 Vikings another weapon to bolster their roster. The Lions stash two more important picks as they navigate this extremely long rebuild.
