What Time Is the Broncos vs. Jaguars Game Today?

    Date: Sunday, Oct. 27, 2022
    Time:
    9:30 a.m. ET

The NFL returns to England for the third time this season and will kick off in Wembley Stadium for the first time in almost three years. The Denver Broncos travel to London for just the second time after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in 2010. On the flip side, the Jacksonville Jaguars make their ninth trip across the pond, where they’ve gone .500.

Jacksonville has not taken the greatest of rosters across the pond. Unfortunately for spectators at Wembley, both teams head into this matchup at a measly 2-5 amid four-game losing streaks. One of them has to end.

The Jaguars have fallen victim to five one-score losses. The team is playing much better than in years past, but the overall youth is causing some questionable decisions to be made. While Denver’s defense has been stout this season, the rushing defense has been a sore spot.

The main concerns for the Jaguars will be limiting turnovers and not leaving so many empty possessions on the field. The same cannot be said for Denver. Russell Wilson’s time in the Mile High City has not been fun. The offense is scoring a league-worst 14.3 points per game and only converting 30.4% of third downs this season.

While Wilson missed Week 7 due to a hamstring injury, the major problems seem to be along the offensive line. Wilson’s return doesn’t solve the protection issues. Furthermore, the Broncos have to cut down on penalties, as they are the current leader with 58 through seven weeks.

The problems in Denver seem more pervasive throughout the roster than Jacksonville’s tough breaks each week. Yes, the Broncos have played in all but one one-possession game. However, this is due to the offense’s inability to score and that brick-wall defense. Expect the Jaguars to use RB Travis Etienne Jr. to break down Denver’s defense. If QB Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville can score more than 17 points, the Broncos will be in for a long flight back to Denver.
