Week 2 is here, and Thursday Night Football sees the Minnesota Vikings heading to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season came to a thrilling end with New York Jets rookie WR Xavier Gipson returning a punt for a touchdown in overtime to upset the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Will NFL fans be treated to another spectacle tonight? Let’s look at the Thursday Night Football start time, live stream option, and more.
What Time Does Thursday Night Football Start?
The Vikings’ and the Eagles’ Week 2 matchup kicks off at Lincoln Financial Field at 8:15 p.m. ET. The Eagles won their season opener, but there are some improvements to be made. After two first-quarter touchdowns, Philadelphia relied on the leg of kicker Jake Elliott to hang onto the 25-20 victory over the New England Patriots.
Meanwhile, Minnesota shocked many after falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-17 in their home opener last week. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense committed three turnovers and five three-and-outs throughout the game. Is the close-game magic over? Let’s look at how to watch Thursday Night Football tonight.

The loss the Buccaneers suffered was surprising after the success the Vikings had last season and where Tampa Bay is projected to finish in the NFC South this season. The test only gets tougher for Cousins and crew with a date in Philadelphia against the Eagles tonight.
Philadelphia held the Patriots to five drives of four plays or less and two turnovers in what looked to be an extremely revamped New England offense with potential under offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien. While Tampa Bay has a good defense, will the Vikings be able to find any more room against one of the best defensive fronts in the league?

Cousins has felt pressure in the backfield for the last year, getting sacked 48 times since Week 1 of 2022, tied for the fourth most in the NFL. The Eagles specialize in getting to the quarterback, leading the league with 72 sacks in the same span.
Vikings starting center Garrett Bradbury has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football after suffering a lower back injury in Week 1, and LT Christian Darrisaw is questionable as well. If the Vikings’ protection folds, Cousins and Co. will be in for a long night.
