The 2023-24 NFL season has almost come to an end. With the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers advancing to the Super Bowl, there’s just one game left.
However, there’s a two-week wait until the Super Bowl. In the meantime, there’s the Pro Bowl Games. What events are in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown?
What Events Are in the 2024 Pro Bowl Games?
The NFL has done an all-star style game since nearly its beginning. It started with the National Football League All-Star Game from 1934-1942, then it evolved into the Pro Bowl from 1951-2022.
However, the NFL eliminated the full-contact Pro Bowl game and created the Pro Bowl Games that started in 2023.

The Pro Bowl Games most recently took place in the Las Vegas Raiders’ home stadium, Allegiant Stadium. However, it is now back in Orlando, Fla., at Camping World Stadium, which hosted the Pro Bowl from 2017 to 2020.
The event will feature multiple skill competitions and three 7-on-7 flag football games. The first set of events will be held on Feb. 1, with the remainder of the games taking place on Feb. 4; Eli Manning will coach the NFC team, and Peyton Manning will coach the AFC team.
In the 2024 games, there will be six different skill challenges, here’s a description of each:
- Precision Passing: For this game, the three quarterbacks from each conference will gain points by hitting as many targets as possible in one minute. The conference with the highest total score will get three points. There are 10 targets, either static or moving, ranging from one to five points.
- Best Catch: This game is pre-recorded in different landmarks around Orlando. It will feature one player from each conference showing off their creativity, inventiveness, and talent in the form of a catch. NFL fans will vote online to determine their favorite catch, and the player with the most votes will earn three points for his conference.
- Closest to the Pin: This is the first new game of 2024. It is a golf accuracy competition featuring six players from each conference who will drive the golf ball as close to the hole as possible. The winners will earn three points for their conference.
- High Stakes: Players start with a football in hand and attempt to catch punts from a Jugs machine. Players keep advancing to the next round as long as they catch the pass and don’t drop any balls. The player who catches the most footballs wins.
- Dodgeball: A multi-round tournament of classic dodgeball features four teams of five players. In the first match, the AFC offense will face the NFC defense, and in the second game, the NFC offense will face the AFC defense. The winners will earn three points for their conference.
- Kick Tac Toe: Now it’s time for special teams. Each team’s kicker will compete in a giant tic-tac-toe competition. The first kicker to complete a connecting line of three squares or hit five squares total will earn three points for his conference.
- Snap Shot: Finally, there’s a new game for long snappers and centers. It allows long snappers and centers to showcase their skills by snapping balls at targets of various sizes and point values.
