After New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury just four plays into his debut with the team, Zach Wilson stepped in and has led the way for the team this season.
The Jets had acquired Rodgers to take the place of Wilson as the starter, so it has been interesting to observe Wilson’s performances under center this season.
Rodgers, an 18-year veteran and four-time NFL MVP with a Super Bowl ring, was traded from the Green Bay Packers during the offseason, and Jets fans were hopeful that he could lead the team to a Super Bowl.
Things did not go according to plan there, but Wilson has been a decent starter for the Jets, who are off to a 4-3 start this season. Where did Wilson go to college and get his start?
Zach Wilson’s College Career
Wilson, 24, is from Draper, Utah, and he attended Corner Canyon High School.
He came out of high school as a three-star recruit and went on to play at Brigham Young University, where he started in 28 games, playing 30 in total.
He threw 56 touchdowns in his career, ran for another 15, and put up 7,652 total yards while completing 67.6% of his passes.
